Built in Lagos, for how events actually happen here.
Eventcape exists because the people who plan, fund, and deliver events in Nigeria deserve better tools than a WhatsApp group and a prayer.
It started at our own co-founder's wedding.
Three weeks before the event, a vendor who'd already been paid a deposit stopped answering calls. No contract. No record of what was agreed. Just a bank transfer and a promise.
The wedding still happened — a replacement vendor was found in 48 frantic hours — but the question stuck: why does something this expensive run entirely on trust and WhatsApp voice notes? Every other high-value transaction in a person's life has a contract, a paper trail, a way to verify the other side will deliver. Events didn't.
Eventcape is the platform we wished existed that week — one where money only moves when work is actually delivered and approved.
To make every naira in an event traceable — from the first quote to the final payout — so hosts, planners, and vendors can trust the process instead of chasing each other for it.
A Lagos where any host can fund an event with confidence, any planner can run one without WhatsApp chaos, and any vendor gets paid on time — every time.
What we believe
01
Money should move on trust, not memory
Every payment should be tied to a signed milestone — not a verbal promise.
02
Lagos first
We design for the realities of Nigerian events before we design for anywhere else.
03
Vendors deserve to get paid on time
A T+1 settlement isn't a luxury — it's the baseline we build to.
04
Simplicity beats features
We'd rather ship five things that work than fifty that don't.
